Delete Your Account

Two ways to do it. No app install required to read this page.

1. In the app (instant)

Open Someone, tap your avatar (top left), then Account → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. Your account is deleted instantly and permanently. There is no grace period and no undo, so make sure you really want this: you delete at your own risk.

2. By email (if you can't sign in)

Lost your device, can't receive an OTP, or otherwise can't get into the app? Email us from an address you control and tell us the phone number your account is registered under.

We verify the request is really you, then delete the account manually. We aim to complete email-requested deletions within 5 business days of verification.

What gets deleted

If content you posted was already visible to others before deletion (e.g. an Ask someone saw), we can't erase what another person already saw or remembered, but it's removed from the platform.

This is a genuine hard delete, not a deactivation. It happens instantly, there's no waiting period and no undo window, and we can't bring your account back afterwards. The only copies left are in our nightly backups, which expire on their own within 14 days.
